Cohuna, located on the Murray Valley Highway between Echuca and Swan Hill, is a scenic township situated on the banks of Gunbower Creek, which forms the border of Gunbower Island.
Upon your arrival drop into the Gateway to Gannawarra Visitor Centre to discover things to do during your stay. The modern visitor information hub provides brochures, maps and details about the region. The centre is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and weekends and public holidays from 10am to 2pm (closed special public holidays).
Cohuna’s main street provides a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Take some time to browse retail stores and giftware before grabbing some lunch to enjoy along the waterfront.
Cool down along the sandy shores of Cohuna Beach at Apex Park. The perfect location for swimming, kayaking and a picnic with family and friends. The park offers an all-abilities adventure playground, impressive skate park and modern BBQ facilities and is only a short walk from Cohuna Waterfront Holiday Park, free RV campsite and main shopping strip.
The majestic Gunbower National Park and Gunbower State Forest provide a picturesque natural bush setting for campers who regularly visit the area. The majority of visitors spend time relaxing in their riverside camps, bushwalking, fishing, bird watching or kayaking along the creek. The many walking and cycling tracks in the Gunbower forest are accessible from Cohuna and the many campsites along the Murray River or Gunbower Creek provide a real nature based experience.
