Lockington is a small, tight knit farming community, situated 25 minutes’ drive south-west of Echuca.

See if you can spot the “Loch Ness” yabby - a giant yabby which can be pulled up from the depths of the extensive channel network in the middle of town. A novel experience!

For a small community Locky, as it’s coined by locals, packs a punch with many great events throughout the year including local sporting matches, the Lockington and District Vintage Tractor Rally in April and several camp drafts.

The township is famed for being home to Hollywood star Travis Fimmel and the late Kevin Sarre, Locky’s favourite son and shearing champion.

Head to Lockington and District Living Heritage Complex, a local history museum paying homage to an incredible array of heritage farming equipment aligned to the region.
